Kepada Hishammuddin Hussein dan Menteri-Menteri MELAYU:

KUASA ADALAH IBARAT SEBILAH PEDANG. JIKA IA SEKADAR DIGILAP, DIPERASAP, DISARUNGKAN DAN DIGANTUNG DI DINDING, BERAPA BANYAK PEDANG PUN YANG ADA, TIADA GUNANYA. TETAPI JIKA SEKALI SEKALA DIGUNAKAN, BIARPUN HANYA UNTUK MEMOTONG SEBIJI MANGGA, MAKA AKAN DIKETAHUILAH TAJAM TUMPULNYA.

Anwar dan 16 September: Sejarah lalu

16 September 1998

Laporan (1)

Rahim juga mengesahkan polis menahan Dr Munawar A Anees, bekas pengarang sebuah jurnal terbitan Berita Publishing Sdn Bhd, anak syarikatThe New Straits Times (M) Berhad, mengikut Seksyen 73 Akta Keselamatan Dalam Negeri (ISA).

Laporan (6)
Laporan berikut ialah langkah kerajaan menamatkan perkhidmatan Anwar sebagai Presiden Universiti Islam Antarabangsa (UIA). Perdana Menteri, ketika itu Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad melantik Menteri Pendidikan, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak sebagai pemangku Presiden Universiti Islam Antarabangsa (UIA) bagi menggantikan Anwar buat sementara waktu.

Laporan (7)

mengandungi suaranya ketika menggoda isteri seorang tokoh korporat.

Laporan (1)
Permohonan Anwar supaya Mahkamah Persekutuan menyemak semula keputusan mengekalkan sabitan dan hukuman penjara enam tahun terhadapnya berhubung empat tuduhan rasuah, ditolak.

Samy Vellu PART II

THIS IS FOR YOU SAMY VELL

A man staggers into an emergency room with two black eyes and a five iron wrapped tightly around his throat. Naturally the doctor asks him what happened.
Well, it was like this, said the man. I was having a quiet round of golf with my wife, when she sliced her ball into a pasture of cows. We went to look for it, and while I was rooting around I noticed one of the cows had something white at its rear end. I walked over and lifted up the tail, and sure enough, there was my wife's golf ball........stuck right in the middle of the cow's butt. That's when I made my mistake. "What did you do?" asks the doctor. I lifted the tail and yelled to my wife, "Hey, this looks like yours!"

'SEMI VALUE'

Born ini June 20, 1936 and known among his enemies as 'Semi Value', he has held the position since 1979. He was first appointed to the Malaysian cabinet in 1979, as the Government and Housing Minister. He then went on to serve until 1989, as the Works Minister. From 1989 to 1995, he became Malaysia's Minister for Energy, Telecommunication and Post. In 1995, he returned to the Works Ministry. 2008 lost his parliamentary seat.

He is the second longest serving minister in the country after Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz.

Controversies surrounding Samy Vellu

* Is alleged to have been involved in several money scandals and work defects in several prominent construction projects in Malaysia, which included the discovery of fungus growing in the air-conditioning system of the operating theatre in the Sultan Ismail Hospital in Johor Bahru as well as long closure cracks on MRR2, an overpass highway in Ampang.

* Is often accused of sucking up shares of many of Malaysia's companies. And the MAIKA Telecom Share Scandal continues to haunt him.

* Some believe that Samy Vellu had sold the Indian-Malaysian community off in order to save himself from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Agency. They allege that he did not do enough or protested loud enough when the Indian-Malaysian situation worsened, or when the Malaysian government dissolved the South Indian Labour Fund. Currently, he has committed his energy to building the Asian Institute of Medicine, Science and Technology (AIMST). However, AIMST, built with donations collected from the Indian-Malaysian community, too, is riddled in controversy, as its shares are owned by Samy Vellu's associates, Tan Sri K. Ambikaipakan and Datuk Dr. T. Marimuthu.

* Is also often criticised for his leadership style. As one critic put it, "He (Samy Vellu) is very much in control of the party (MIC), and the party's run almost [as a] feudal organisation where almost all decisions are made by the President himself."

* There have also been allegations that Samy Vellu uses thugs to intimidate his political opponents, and that he uses phantom voters to win elections both at the party and the parliamentary levels.

* Latest Scandal - April 2007 - The burst of Pipes in PutraJaya Immigration office. This recent event has the water bursting out from the 7th floor of the immigration office building and leaking to the floors below.

* His daughter-in-law, Shaila Nair, 32, is a singer who has recently attracted negative publicity as a result of a lewd reality clip. (see accompanying report) Malaysian singer snared in Net sex video Contributed by Anonymous on Friday, February 02 @ 11:38:23 CST Leong Wee Keat
weekeat@mediacorp.com.sg. She is a familiar face on Tamil television shows here. But of late, Malaysian singer Shaila Nair has become the star in a too-revealing reality show.Being circulated via the Internet and mobile phones is a three-minute video in which Ms Nair, 32, is seen engaging in sexual acts with an unknown man.Ms Nair's face can be seen in close-up shots, but the man's face only appears as an unclear image in one scene on the poor-resolution clip. The video generated the inevitable shocked reactions and rumours.

ANOTHER ONE FOR SAMY VELLU

Samy Vellu and her driver were cruising along a Sungai Siput country road one evening when an old cow loomed in front of the car.

The driver tried to avoid it but couldn't - the old cow was killed. Samy Vellu told her driver to go up to the farmhouse and explain to the owners what happened.

About an hour later, the driver staggered back to the car with his clothes in disarray. He was holding a bottle of expensive wine in one hand, an expensive Cuban cigar in the other and was smiling happily, smeared with lipstick.

"What happened?" asked Samy Vellu.

"Well," the driver replied, "the farmer gave me the wine, his wife gave me the cigar, and their beautiful twin daughters were so happy they kept kissing me!"

"My God, what did you tell them?" asked Samy Vellu.

The driver replied: "I'm Samy Vellu's driver, and I just killed the old cow."

Nak tahu siapa sebenarnya Samy Vellu?...

FIRST: Samy Vellu and lie detecting robot

Sangalimuthu was a salesman's delight when it came to any kind of unusual gimmick. His wife Anggamah had long ago given up trying to get him to change.

One day Sangalimuthu came home with another one of his unusual purchases. It was robot that Sangalimuthu claimed was actually a lie detector. It was about 5:30 that afternoon when Samy Vellu, their 11 year old son, returned home from school. Samy Vellu was over 2 hours late.

"Where have you been? Why are you over 2 hours late getting home?" asked Sangalimuthu.

"Several of us went to the library to work on an extra credit project," said Samy Vellu. The robot then walked around the table and slapped Samy Vellu, knocking him completely out of his chair.

"Son," said Sangalimuthu, "this robot is a lie detector, now tell us where you really were after school."

"Me, Palanivel, Subramaniam, Devamany and Saravanan went to Lingam's house and watched a movie." said Samy Vellu.

"What did you watch?" asked Anggamah.

"The Ten Commandments," answered Samy Vellu. The robot went around to Samy Vellu and once again slapped him, knocking him off his chair once more.

With his lip quivering, Samy Vellu got up, sat down and said, "I am sorry I lied. We really watched a tape called 'Lusty Cheerleaders'."

"I am ashamed of you son," said Sangalimuthu. "When I was your age, I never lied to my parents." The robot then walked around to Sangalimuthu and delivered a whack that nearly knocked him out of his chair.

Anggamah doubled over in laughter, almost in tears and said, "Boy, did you ever ask for that one! You can't be too mad with Samy Vellu."

"After all, he is your son!". With that the robot immediately walked around to Anggamah and slapped her.

SECOND: Real Samy Vellu (What I can say is Samy Vellu is a big-bad person).

An Indian man died and went to heaven. When he arrived at the heaven gate, Siva the God said, "Come on in. I'll show you around. You'll like it here."

Walking through the gates, the man noticed clocks is everywhere. There were grandfather clocks, wall clocks, watches, and clocks in every corner. It appeared that heaven was nothing more than a giant clock warehouse.

Surprised at how heaven looked, the man asked, "God Siva, what's the deal? Why are all these clocks here in heaven?"

God Siva replied, "The clocks keep track of things on earth. There is one clock for each person. Every time the person on earth tells a lie, his clock moves one minute.''

"For instance, this clock is for VK Lingam, the lawyer. If you watch it closely, it will move."

'Click' The minute hand on VK Lingam's clock moved one minute.

'Click' It moved another minute.

"VK Lingam must be with some judges right now." said God Siva. The minute hand on his clock moves all day.

''Why the minute hand suddenly jumps three times?" ask the man.

God Siva smiles and said "He must have just said 'correct, correct, correct!'. I see it jumps like that quite often."

The man and God Siva continued walking. Soon, they came to a strange looking clock with some springs sticking out.

Siva said '"Oh! That is Aanwar Ibrahim's clock. During his trial, the clock span so fast and the springs came out eachtime he said "conspiracy, conspiracy. Now it is moving quite smoothly".

The man and God Siva continued their walk . They came to a clock with cobwebs on the minute hand.

"Whose clock is this?" asked the man.

"That clock belongs to the Lawyer Karpal Singh.. He is one of the finest, God-fearing, people on earth. I bet his clock hasn't moved in a year or two."

They continued walking and touring heaven. The man enjoyed watching the clocks of all his friends. When the tour was finished, the man said:

"I've seen everyone's clock but Mr Samy Vellu's. Where is his clock?"

God Siva smiled and said:

"Just look up. We use his clock as a ceiling fan. That's why it is so cooling here."

ENGLISH

SHAH ALAM, Sept 11 (Bernama) -- Selangor State Executive Councillor Rodziah Ismail today lodged a police report on a rape threat that she received during the dialogue session with residents of Section 23, here, on the relocation of a temple last Saturday.

She lodged the report at the Shah Alam District Police headquarters in Section 11, here at about noon, about one week after the dialogue session.

Rodziah, the Chairman of the Selangor State Committee on Women, Welfare, Science, Technology, Innovations and Culture, said she had lodged the report out of fear for her personal safety as well as that of her family and staff.

"I attended the dialogue as the State Assemblyman for Batu Tiga as well as a member of the dialogue panel to answer questions raised, but instead received verbal abuses and the threat of rape from people who created a commotion while the dialogue was going on," she said in a statement, here today.

Shah Alam District Police Chief, ACP Noor Azam Jamaluddin, when contacted, confirmed receiving the report and gave an assurance that the matter would be investigated.

MIC WILL NOT REGAIN SUPPORT IF SAMY VELLU STAYS ON

PETALING JAYA, Sept 11 (Bernama) -- The MIC will continue to lose the support of the Indian community if Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu continues to lead the party, said former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

He said the MIC was getting weaker and it could not be restored as long as Samy continued to hold the reins.

"MIC is weak because of Samy Vellu, I heard many Indians talked about it, they are not supporting MIC now because of Samy Vellu.

"Actually before the 2008 general election a tv station had asked me what is going to happen to MIC, I said as long as Samy Vellu is there, MIC will lose. It is correct and he lost," Dr Mahathir told reporters after presenting Aidilfitri aid and the Perkim President Seri Cemerlang Award here today.

He was commenting on Samy''s disapproval of his (Dr Mahathir''s) remarks published by Makkal Osai, a Tamil newspaper, that former MIC deputy president Datuk S.Subramaniam would be a good leader to lead the MIC.

Subramaniam is vying for the MIC deputy presidency at the MIC 63rd general assembly tomorrow.

"When he (Makkal Osai) asked for my opinion, I did not realise the party''s elections is around the corner. I gave my opinion, if he (Samy) stays on, MIC cannot be revived. Now the Indian community is divided into eight parties.

"Previously, all of them supported MIC, not many are supporting MIC now and they gave the same reason - they are fed up of Samy Vellu, who wants to hold the reins until nobody else can take over from him. Whoever becomes his deputy, when they were getting popular, he finished them of," he said.

On Samy Vellu''s allegation that he (Dr Mahathir) had neglected the Indian community, he said it was not true as he had helped all communities and not only the Malays.

"A newspaper had quoted him as saying that I had never helped the Indian community. When I called him from Syria then, he denied it.

"When I came back, the newspaper played the tape for me. It was true he did say that I had never helped the Indian community," he added.

Throw Out Samy Vellu, Says Tun Mahathir

Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has dropped a bombshell today saying that if the Indian community wants to see real changes they should make an all out effort to remove Dato Seri Samy Vellu as president of MIC.

If they want to see such changes they should elect capable and talented leaders ,he said in an exclusive interview with Tamil daily Makkal Osai.

He said that as far as the MIC was concerned Dato S.Subramaniam was a suitable, capable and a fair minded leader.

The reason the Malaysian Indians turned to the opposition parties was all because of Dato Seri Samy Vellu.

He has overstayed as leader and he has not allowed anyone else to rise as leaders . He has systematically removed or destroyed them.

If they want to see change and development they will have to be daring to remove him. They must elect in place good and trustworthy people.

He was speaking at an exclusive interview with the paper’s chief editor M.Rajan at his office at the 86th floor of Petronas Twin Towers where he is advisor to the national oil corporation. The paper had posed questions relating to the forthcoming MIC elections on Sept 12.

In his replies Tun Mahathir said that capable leaders should be elected and Dato S.Subramaniam , who is contesting the deputy presidency in a three- cornered fight, said that Dato Subramaniam was in his opinion a very suitable person.

He is fair minded and he would be able to embrace everyone. He handles everything calmly and judiciously. He has been in MIC for a very longtime and he should have been the leader a long time ago but the opportunities were not given.

During my premiership he has been a long time deputy minister. There has to be leadership changes in the Indian community and capable leaders should be elected. The Indian community has no grudge with the Barisan Nasional.

They have always voted for BN and during all the long years of my premiership they have loyally voted for us. It was because of their discontentment with Samy Vellu that they voted for the opposition in the last general election.

Even UMNO made changes to the leadership when the feedback was given to them. Similarly,if the Indian community wants to see changes they will have to be daring enough to remove Samy Vellu.

In this respect Dato Subramaniam is very suitable as a leader, he said.

What Samy said:

MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu has levelled another accusation at his former deputy Datuk S. Subramaniam, saying the challenger for the MIC deputy presidency had disgraced the party by seeking the endorsement of former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

He said Subramaniam’s move to seek the help of Dr Mahathir was a “desperate act”, claiming that this had incurred the wrath of many branch and division leaders.

“How cheap and desperate can a man be?” he asked, referring to a report in the Tamil daily Makkal Osai which quoted Dr Mahathir as saying that MIC delegates should vote for Subramaniam.

“It appears that Subramaniam has lost his support in the MIC and has to seek outside help to prop up his support among the delegates. He has lost whatever credibility that was left in him,” Samy Vellu said in a statement.

He said that he was both extremely angry and sad that Subramaniam had allowed an outsider to meddle in the party’s affairs, especially during a crucial election for the MIC.

The party supremo pointed out that when Dr Mahathir was in power, he had said that the Barisan Nasional could not interfere in the internal affairs of a component party.

“But now he interferes in our party matters,” he said.

He said the MIC was holding its elections through the democratic process to allow delegates to pick their leaders and “is not facing any problems for outsiders to get involved.”

“I urge MIC delegates to condemn the actions by Subramaniam and his supporters in getting an outsider involved in our party matters.

“If we allow this to happen, in future, outsiders will continue to interfere in our affairs and we will lose our dignity and respect,” Samy Vellu said.
